Here is the major Blu-ray being released this week!
Hello, to my fellow earthlings. Welcome to the newly created tv segment of Men vs. Movies. If you are wondering “Why would a website for movies have a tv section?” I honestly don’t know, I can’t answer that question but I can happily bring you reviews of our favourite tv shows and open your eyes to shows that may have missed you. I’m going to break down tv shows I will be watching this week and dropping a couple of reviews along the way.
It was announced on Monday that James Bond will indeed return in November of 2019 for his 25th official installment. While EON Productions was reticent on the finer details of the production, the New York Times has indicated that Daniel Craig's return to the iconic role of 007 is a "done deal". Now Deadline is reporting that we could soon also have a director attached to the project.
Opening this week is French director Luc Besson’s latest film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets. The $180 million dollar sci-fi epic is both the highest budgeted independent and French film of all-time. While the title is unfamiliar to the casual movie goer in North America, the film is actually based off of a 50 year old French comic book. On the surface, it would seem strange for Besson to follow up his previous film, the international Scarlett Johansson hit Lucy, with a sci-fi film, but this kind of genre hopping has been a staple of Luc Besson’s career.
Another week, another Weekend Update! During this Comic-Con week we see the release of two tentpole films in Christopher Nolan's WWII Epic Dunkirk and Luc Besson's Sci-Fi adventure Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets. As always, you can purchase tickets in advance through Fandango by simply clicking the picture associated with each movie.
Owen Farrington from Own Likes Comics has provided us with his script for his latest case study of Spider-Man coming home to Marvel! It's quite the read or watch and if you don't have the time to watch it just read it here and enjoy what he has to say in written form! This will be a treat on the Men vs. Movies site every now and again, let us know how you like it and check out Spider-Man: Homecoming this weekend!
