Amy Seimetz, Kate Lyn Sheil, and Jane Adams Discuss the Existential 'She Dies Tomorrow'

After waking up convinced that she is going to die tomorrow, Amy’s carefully mended life begins to unravel. As her delusions of certain death become contagious to those around her, Amy and her friends’ lives spiral out of control in a tantalizing descent into madness. Painted with tones of reds, blues, and purples, the film feels like a hallucinogenic ride through the psyche of each of the characters as they reach their breaking point. Seeming ever-relevant in a time of 24-hour news cycles, it challenges the viewer to consider the powers of contagion and overexposure. As Amy informs those around her that she is living out her last day, she is met with disbelief and feigned sympathy until soon the very people in doubt become infected by the same notion. Though it often feels like an anxiety attack playing out in real-time, each member of the remarkable ensemble cast gives a mesmerizing performance that anchors the film through its brief 84 minutes. With dark themes, enigmatic protagonists, and propelled by a pulsating score from the Mondo Boys, the film matches in pace and tone that of the pounding heartbeat of its viewer. “She Dies Tomorrow” is a tense, cerebral drama wrapped in an enchanting cosmic blanket of mystery.
