'iCarly' Interview: Stars Jaidyn Triplett and Laci Mosley on the Influence of the Show and Social Media

'I know you see somehow the world will change for me and be so wonderful"

The beloved series iCarly is back in action, and long-time fans were full of excitement and joy that their favorite series was getting a revival treatment. Unlike other shows, iCarly didn't receive a run-of-the-mill reboot. Paramount decided to carve it's own path for the return of the show on Paramount+, and cater the revival approach for fans who grew up with the original series. The renewal of the series is a continuation of Carly Shay's journey into early adulthood. The revival can easily be compared to the likes of Fuller House and Girl Meets World series that took a similar route with it's characters and it seems to have paid off tremendously.

With season 2 of iCarly fastly approaching, FilmSpeak had the pleasure of interviewing two of the newest cast members of the show, Jaidyan Triplett (Millicent) and Laci Mosley (Harper). Millicent is Freddie's (Nathan Kress) adopted step-daughter; a resourceful, snarky, somewhat judgmental girl who is extremely well versed with social media, much like the title character. In this iteration of iCalry, Harper is Carly's best friend and roommate who dreams of becoming a fashion stylist. She's confident, authentic, ready with a cutting remark, and never misses an opportunity to have fun. I was able to sit down with them and ask some iCarly styled questions, and what to expect from their characters moving forward with the latest season.

Triplett explains how will season 2 continue to explore her character, as Millicent navigated the world as a teenager. "Season one was figuring out Millicent and seeing her personality, and seeing her story and stuff like that. But I think season 2 is gonna be more of the relatable like going through the pre-teen stage of trying to figure who you are and finding friends. Which is very relatable to me and also kids my age, 11 and 12 whatever age in that one phase and I think that makes Millicent so relatable in season 2".

Mosley gives us the run down of what Harper's version of an iCarly web show what would that look like and who her dream celebrity guest would be. "Harper's iCarly styled web show defiantly has to do with fashion, because that’s her passion. And I think one of her dream guests would be someone who has amazing fashion like Zendaya. I'd love to see her put Zendaya in all types of insane rags. I mean Zendaya can pull off anything! So I feel like if Harper liked weaved her like a dress out of like disposable straws it would still be poppin"
