BREAKING: First ‘WandaVision’ Trailer Released By Disney

Marvel Studios has released the first official trailer for the upcoming ‘WandaVision’ Disney+ Original Series during the 2020 Emmys tonight.

The trailer reveals little of the plot of the series and continues to build upon the mystery of what exactly fans have in store for them with this series.

While previously we had seen several brief snippets lasting mere seconds in total during the Disney+ Superbowl TV spot this past February, this trailer presents our first real look at what exactly is going on with Wanda and Vision post “Avengers: Endgame.”

In it, we see Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), presumably back to life after his death in 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War” inhabiting scenes and scenarios through the lens of various sitcoms.

The trailer kicks off with some extended scenes of Wanda and Vision living an idyllic suburban life as husband-and-wife in what appears to be an “I Love Lucy” inspired 1950s sitcom, eventually making their way to a 1970s “Brady Bunch” inspired setting and a 1980s sitcom among others.

The trailer features plenty of our titular stars, with Bettany both in and out of the Vision makeup for his role, and even teases the couple’s comic-accurate costumes with some short clips presumably from a Halloween night.

We are introduced to comedian Kathryn Hahn’s character, who’s billed as the “nosy neighbor” of Wanda and Vision. The trailer also gives viewers their first look at Teyonah Parris as a grown-up Monica Rambeau in action.

Rambeau was featured in 2019’s “Captain Marvel” played by Akira Akbar and is now seen over 20 years later as an adult agent working for S.W.O.R.D., confirmed to feature in the series as the replacement S.H.I.E.L.D. in a post-Endgame MCU.

While further story details are scarce, what has been confirmed is that the series will follow Wanda and Vision living in a seemingly staged and scripted ideal reality, only to become gradually more self-aware and realize their perfect life is not what it seems. The series has also been teased to explore Wanda’s more magical abilities including reality-warping, which could possibly be contributing to the nature of their altered living reality in the show.

Audiences can tune into “WandaVision” on Disney+ in 2020, though an official release date has yet to be announced. Speculation suggests the series will premiere this December. Check out the full trailer below:
