Previewing Disney's Packed 2025 Slate
As we near the end of 2024 and Disney prepares to round out their year with the release of Moana 2, many are already turning their eyes to what the company has to offer in 2025. If you thought this year was wild, feast your eyes on this up-to-date full slate for Disney and Disney-adjacent releases next year.
2025 is set to start off with relative ease for the mouse, as the only Disney project set to release in January is Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, set to hit Disney + on the 29th of the first month of the year. This comes after years of rumors and teases, finally giving longtime fans and hopefuls something to look forward to.
Following that in February is Captain America: Brave New World on the 14th, as well as Win Or Lose, Pixar’s first full-length series, on the 19th; two releases with a chasm of variety between them early in the year.
March will see the release of Daredevil : Born Again on the 4th of the month (on Disney+), which may go down as one of the most anticipated releases on the entire docket. Two weeks after that, on the 21st, Snow White will release in theaters, marking yet another live action remake for the company.
April 11th marks the theatrical release of The Amateur, while the 22nd will follow up with the second season of Andor on Disney+. This represents an early monthly pattern wherein Disney puts one project into theaters, and the other on streaming.
At the very beginning of May, on the 2nd, the second cinematic marvel project of the year will hit theaters in the form of Thunderbolts*. On the 23rd, in the same way, the live action remake of Lilo & Stitch releases in theaters.
June will see the release of the long-awaited, consistently delayed Pixar original Elio on the 13th. Ironheart, another ever-delayed project, will release on Disney+ on the 24th.
July is a big one, and is alone dedicated to The Fantastic Four: First Steps. You’ll be hard pressed to find a bigger deal on this slate, and perhaps beyond it. It’s only right that fans spend the entire month in wait for what will likely be a cinematic juggernaut.
Early August harbors two releases; Eyes of Wakanda comes first, streaming on the 6th, followed by Freakier Friday in theaters on the 8th, just two days later. The rest of that month, as well at the entirety of September, are vacant.
Marvel Zombies will kick off spooky season on October 3rd, while Tron: Ares will speed into theaters close behind it on the 10th of the month.
The next soonest release is nearly a month later on November 7th with Predator: Badlands. Zootopia 2, releasing on the 26th, will round off a big theatrical month for Disney.
The last two remaining items on the slate both release in December. The first of which is Wonder Man, which hasn’t been given an exact date, and the indomitable Avatar: Fire and Ash on the 19th, the financial ramifications of which will surely be felt into the following year.
