Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. gives us the proper introduction for 'The Patriot'

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. furthers the Life Model Decoy plot in the latest episode of the show, while also creating some much needed character development for Director Jeffrey Mace, played by Jason O'Mara, and finally revealing why we were supposed to be so wary of this character.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. picks up right where last week ended with both an exciting and dramatic intro showing the true strength of the "Inhuman", The Patriot.   While also showcasing exploding bullets that were made known in the Marvel Netflix Series, Luke Cage (which I highly recommend if you have yet to see it).

As this episode progressed it showed us yet again that S.H.I.E.L.D. is not afraid of getting darker and grittier with every step they take through the seasons.  If this track record continues we are in for incredibly TV over the next few years, as the episodes now are better and more violent than when the show originally aired, ten times over.

The character development of Jason O'Mara's Jeffrey Mace  was outstanding throughout the episode and although we find out the deception, we also find out the reason for it, which is one that I feel like is incredibly justifiable even if it did put the lives of Coulson and Mack in greater danger than they were ready for.  I personally cannot wait to see what they do with The Patriot in further episodes and I hope that they do not simply sweep him under the rug now that the secret is out, because I feel like his charm and political intellect are traits that can serve both the show, and the organization of S.H.I.E.L.D. itself, well.

On the LMD front we see more of the mad scientist Radcliffe's motives and although this just seemed as a time place holder as we only learned that his plan is somewhat falling apart and he needs to change what he is doing.  So, next week might be when we get to see more of the LMD story plot thicken and whether or not he will have the means to acquire the Darkhold.

Needless to say that the main story of 'The Patriot' in this weeks episode was necessary and shed light where it needed to be shed, with stunning graphics, amazing character development, and an even greater story. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is on the right track this season and like The Patriot this episode was...
