David Ayer Drops Out Of Directing "Scarface"
Universal’s Scarface reboot is having awful luck… According to Justin Kroll from Variety, David Ayer has dropped out of directing the film. Apparently after Antoine Fuqua dropped out because of scheduling issues; David Ayer came into the mix very quietly, but has now decided to depart from helming the film.
Universal is refusing to quit though because it appears they are already searching for someone else to take the reigns so that they can meet their expected fall shooting date. The film is still set to star Diego Luna as the infamous Tony Montana.
David Ayer fans can still rejoice though because his next film, Bright is still being released later this year through Netflix. That film was written by Max Landis and stars Will Smith.
