Deadline reports that Elisabeth Moss will star in and produce an adaptation of the psychological thriller novel "Mrs. March" from author Virginia Feito.

The film will follow a suburban housewife (Moss) living in New York City's Upper East Side. She slowly descends into madness after becoming paranoid that a despicable character from her husband's best-selling novel is based on her.

As of today, no director is currently attached to helm the project. However, the script will be written and adapted for feature-length by Feito herself, who will also be an executive producer on the project.

Moss will also serve as a producer on the project and through her company Love and Squalor Pictures, along with Blumhouse, who she collaborated with earlier this year in Leigh Whannell's "The Invisible Man." Lindsey McManus, Carla Hacken, and Bea Sequiera are also attached to produce.

Moss opened up about her decision to star in and produce the project revealing she's a big fan of the source material. So much so, the actress even first read the entirety of Feito's novel in one sitting. Moss said in a statement that she found the character of Mrs. March "fascinating, complex, and deeply human" and considers this project "the kind of engaging and challenging female-led project that Love and Squalor Pictures is built to make."

"Mrs. March" is on track to release in the United States in August 2021 from Liveright, a subsection of the W.W. Norton & Company publisher.

While no filming or release date is confirmed, with the release of the book timed for late summer of next year, we can most likely expect to see this release in Fall 2021.
