New 'Stranger Things' Teaser Offers A Sneak Peek At Season 4, Hints At The Return Of A Familiar Foe

a sneak peek of the Netflix show ominously teased the next threat that the misfits of Hawkins, Indiana will face.

The wait for Season 4 of Netflix’s widely popular series, ‘Stranger Things’ is either almost over or it’s just begun. That, of course, depends on your outlook on (stranger) things.

In case you missed it, Netflix dropped another teaser for the upcoming season of Stranger Things. Most might have forgotten about that last Valentine’s Day the streaming service dropped the first teaser for the season, aptly titled, ‘From Russia with love…’. In it, fans got confirmation that Hopper was still alive following Season 3’s gut-wrenching cliffhanger. If you need to jog your memory, or if you totally missed it, check it out below:

While that first teaser seemed like a glimpse at events to come, today’s teaser appeared to be a glimpse at events past.

The biggest thing to take away from this most recent teaser is that we haven’t seen the last of Matthew Modine’s Dr. Brenner. This, after we got confirmation of him still being alive in Season 2. While it appears that he will play a big role this season, the format of the teaser as a flashback hints that there could be more history to explore with Eleven and her “siblings”. The final words said by Brenner, “Are you listening?” also implies that the connection between him and Eleven is far from broken.

How big of a factor will it really be this season though? How will the series deal with Eleven’s move out of Hawkins with Will’s family? Will Hopper ever make it back home? More importantly, when will Season 4 drop? With so many questions, all fans can do is wait. Surely, it’ll be worth it.

Stranger Things Season 4 will see the return of cast members Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, and Brett Gelman. Jamie Campbell Bower, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quin, and the legendary Robert Englund have also been added in recurring roles.
