'Wonder Woman 1984' Teases New Promotional Art and Upcoming Trailer
Things are ramping up for the DC FanDome event this weekend and to get a jump on the whirlwind of news that’s sure to come, director Patty Jenkins took to twitter to share some goodies for her upcoming Wonder Woman 1984. In her tweet, Jenkins says there are “many fun new things ahead… See you TOMORROW!! ” and announced a “TRAILER DROP” so barring a catastrophe, at some point during the “Wonder Woman 1984” virtual panel, some sort of teaser or trailer will be shown.
Along with the trailer announcement, she also shared the hyper colorized poster featuring Wonder Woman in her Golden Eagle armor from the comics.
The promotional images do not promise a date but say “Only In Theaters.” With theaters globally hardly opening up at limited capacity if at all, it’s unknown whether Warner Bros will follow their “Tenet” release strategy of staggering premieres in select regions or push the film for a wider day-and-date release. After all, a massive superhero blockbuster like “Wonder Woman 1984” likely cost well over $200 million dollars to make and market, putting Warner Bros in a financial pickle right now.
Another “Wonder Woman 1984” image also appeared as the banner (top) on the official twitter page for the film giving us another look at the epic and intimidating armor that Dina Prince (Gal Gadot) will hopefully don. The banner shows the film’s PG-13 rating and also says “Only In Theaters.”
Gal Gadot, Chris Pine, Pedro Pascal and Kristen Wig will star in the sequel to the 2017 film.
More “Wonder Woman 1984” news will be coming so be sure to check back here all weekend for even more DC FanDome coverage!
